Short version: Flatkan is free and open-source software. The hosted service at flatkan.com is provided so people can try and use it conveniently. We do not sell user data, and we do not use user content to train AI models.

1. Service

Flatkan provides project boards, tasks, notes, wiki pages, comments, files, integrations, and related collaboration tools. You may self-host the open-source software, or use the hosted version available at flatkan.com.

2. Free hosted use

The hosted version may be available for free. Free hosted use is provided as-is, without uptime guarantees, data recovery guarantees, or 24/7 technical support. We may apply fair-use limits or restrict abusive activity to keep the service stable for everyone.

3. Your content and data

You keep ownership of the content you add to Flatkan, including tasks, comments, files, wiki pages, project data, and workspace information. You give Flatkan permission to store, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate the service and provide features you request.

4. No sale of user data

We do not sell user data. We do not rent user data. We do not share user content with advertisers or data brokers.

5. No AI training on user content

We do not use user content, private workspace data, uploaded files, tasks, comments, or project information to train AI models. If Flatkan offers AI-assisted features, user content may be processed only to provide the requested feature, not to train models.

6. Third-party AI and integration services

Flatkan may let users connect or configure third-party services such as Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, other AI providers, automation platforms, calendars, storage tools, or APIs. When you choose to connect Flatkan with a third-party service, the information you send to that service may be processed under that provider's own terms, privacy policy, data retention rules, and security practices.

Flatkan does not control how third-party providers handle data after you authorize or configure those integrations. You are responsible for reviewing the terms of any external service you connect and for deciding what workspace content, prompts, files, tasks, comments, or metadata you send to it.

7. Account responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, and do not use Flatkan to attack, overload, or abuse systems or other users.

8. Support and paid services

Paid plans, support coverage, automation work, integrations, or custom development may be offered separately. The scope, response times, and deliverables for paid work should be agreed in writing or through the applicable plan description.

9. Open-source software

The open-source Flatkan software is governed by its repository license. These terms apply to the hosted service at flatkan.com and related support or hosted-service usage.

10. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the hosted service. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but the free hosted service is offered without a guaranteed service level.
